final(ly)

The final for my intermediate cake class was a wedding cake. Despite a few snags (including, but not limited to: sickness, cake cracks, flowers breaking a half hour before class, a lop-sided bottom layer, running out of frosting, and completely re-doing my nosegay at the last minute), I think it came out quite well.

my cake!
(I didn't have time to make a mini-nosegay for the bottom tier, sadly)

damien rice cake

I have a friend who loves Damien Rice, so I thought I'd make her an extra-personalized cake to celebrate.

it would have been much punnier (though impossible to cut) as an actual rice cake, but i thought funfetti was far more fitting (and more delicious)

i decorated this little lady on my lunch break...

well, minus making the flowers, anyway...
